Research on Computer-Assisted Instruction Applied in College English Teaching

Abstract: The aim of the study was to integrate perceptions of computer-assisted instruction with traditional instruction. The study used a survey instrument and several open-ended questions dealing with a variety of issues related to computer assisted instruction. The survey was conducted to different experimental groups of students. Findings of the study revealed that students spoke highly of the combination of both methods of instruction with a little more favorable tendency to the CAI instruction. Learners strongly supported a balanced mix of CAI and traditional instruction.

Analysis and Disposal of a 500kV Substation Circuit Breaker Failure

Abstract: Author analyzed a 500kV substation in Yunnan Province which had an accident of the circuit breaker failure. After the disintegration of the circuit breaker, we concluded that the circuit breaker had abnormal damage during transportation, which makes resistor disc breakdown. Experience has shown that manufacturers and users must strengthen the management and control of the purchased items, and pay attention to the safety of logistics. At the same time, deal with the goods after the arrival to make a comprehensive investigation. This is the fundamental way to solve the problem.

Expanding Load of HCCI Combustion by Cylinder Pressure Sensor

Abstract: Based on the cylinder sensor, we utilize different EGR strategies to expand combustion load of HCCI in a transformed test engine which is equipped with variable valve mechanism. MCU determines the upper limit of knocking boundary and the lower limit of misfire boundary. Increasing engine load, when the instantaneous IMPE is higher than IMPE_max, MCU will transform NVO strategy into LEVC strategy. In contrast, when the instantaneous IMPE is lower than IMPE_min, MCU will transform LEVC strategy into NVO strategy. On the basis of the feedback cylinder pressure signals, MCU can adjust valve phases to achieve the steady combustion and expand combustion load of HCCI simultaneously.

The System of Gas Laser Raman Calibration and Calibration Test

Abstract: We have designed gas laser Raman calibration system which mainly includes gas sample pool, temperature control system, gas distribution system, temperature and pressure measurement system, ICCD camera, spectrometer, DAQ. Pure CO2, N2, O2 and mixed gas have been measured with Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) in the calibration system. We get the response factor of CO2 and O2 relative to N2 and verify accuracy of calibration results in binary mixture gas. The calibration test can provide a preliminary basis for later SRS test in actual engine.

The Research of Lighting Stroke on Electrical Railway

Abstract: It is a difficult problem in actual measurement for the electrical railway struck by lightning. This paper builds models for lighting and train body based on Simulink, and the simulated results are also given. The simulation results show that the train chassis may bear great overvoltage which can reach maximum 32kV. This is far more than the overvoltage endurance for some equipment inside train. Finally some prevention measures for lighting stroke are given.

Analysis and Optimization of Structure Parameters of BP Neural Network Applied in the Detection Level of Apple by RP Training Algorithm

Abstract: In view of the draw backs of apple grade identification in China, which still relies on photoelectric sorting and manual separation, this paper presents a processing method on the basis of the technology of computer vision and digital image. Utilizing image processing technology, the researcher calculated the length of the long-short-axis, marked the location of it and calculated the 4 parameters, color, mean square, shape, size, as the key characteristics of the BP input of network to build a network and identify the level of apple through analysis of the external characteristics of apple. The optimum structure parameters of the BP neural network which had 9 hidden layer neurons were determined by RP training algorithm. Results showed that average accuracy for fruit classification can reach 92.5% by using this model, and the executing time of microcomputer for grading of one apple is 9.3 ms. This method has the characteristics of high accuracy and good real-time performance.

Image Retrieval with Hashing Tricks

Abstract: The stunning increase of the size of image databases makes the problem of efficient image retrieval extremely challenging, hashing techniques have attracted broad research interests because they can use linear time and retrieval of high-dimensional data efficiently. Hashing techniques use binary codes to represent data while preserve the original similarities among it, and it became the popular region in fast similarity search. We mainly provide an in-depth analysis of the principles of image retrieval problem and several hashing techniques, and extensive image retrieval evaluations are conducted showing the hashing technique with deep neural network can outperform state-of-the-art baselines. Deep learning will become popular in hashing techniques.

The Research and Implementation of Handwritten Digital Recognition Method

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel digital recognition algorithm of handwriting model, which is able to keep strictly geometrical shape around embedding digital recognition and make digital recognitioned model have function transparency. Firstly, the isolated geometrical entities are selected as digital recognition carriers. Secondly, the digital recognition is embedded into the isolated geometrical entities with a geometric entity substitution algorithm. When extracting the digital recognition, the original product model and pre-process (registration or re-sampling) need not be provided. The experimental results have shown that the proposed digital recognition algorithm is robustness against some common attacks, such as transformation, rotation, scaling and entity deletion.

Abstract: This paper realized the design of wireless sensor network intelligent monitoring system based on WSN using Zigbee technology and RSSI ranging technology. intelligent safety monitoring and control system is designed to control a market point module for the establishment and management of the design and implementation of two modules. Modern micro sensor has low cost, low power characteristic, it can realize the wireless communication and computing performance, and a large number of the sensors organizations constitute the wireless sensor network. The system has been tested, and established on the basis of the system architecture.

Research and Comparison between the Simulation and Experiment of Pulse Detonation System

Abstract: This study investigated the reaction characteristics in a pulse detonation engine, including pressure, temperature, compression ratio, sonic velocity, and detonation velocity, using CEC code and STAR-CD. The former was used for the calculation of equilibrium states, whereas the latter was used for the simulation of reaction dynamics. A complete pulse detonation tube and measurement system were designed for these experiments with monitoring and recording performed using Lab VIEW. The ignition energy as well as detonation pressure and temperature were studied experimentally and the results were compared with numerical predictions. Our results provide useful insight into the design and performance of pulse detonation engines.

Self-service book returning system design based on MCU

Abstract: In order to provide convenience of book returning for readers and improve the efficiency of library management, self-service book returning system based on STC MCU was proposed. Interface circuit between MCU and barcode-scanning equipment was designed. Once valid barcode information is obtained from the scanning equipment, the MCU system sends the information to PC through RS-232 interface according to specified protocol. PC accesses the book database to confirm reader and book information, and return some information if the condition of book returning is satisfied. The returning process is controlled by the MCU system. The system is convenient and practical for library management and book returning.

Abstract: The existing construction methods for knowledge organization rarely address the development trend of interdisciplinary cross and fusion. In this paper, we propose a method of ontology construction to address fusion of subjects, knowledge for the knowledge management of interdisciplines. We apply this method to “the discipline of computer science and technology” as a concrete case, highlight the parts of collecting and analyzing interdisciplinary knowledge, and determine ontology concepts of discipline knowledge and their relationships to emphasize the cross and fusion of discipline knowledge.
